  2. I've learned to not be so nervous when giving speeches. This I did when learning to ACTUALLY READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. By reading the instructions you understand what it is you have to do, and you do it. You become sure of what it is you are talking about since you followed the instructions and you ace your task. When knowing you are going to ace the task, you get less nervous.

Also, you learn to stop saying like. That is a good thing to learn. Keep doing that. By "that" I mean not saying like.

  3. Try to avoid being too repetitive when you summarize a text, summarzie without going into to too much detail. Make sure that your texts are adjusted to whomever the intended reading audience is.

  4. Don't forget that almost every text starts of with an introduction, followed by a body and ended with a summary. And every paragraph should begin with a topic sentence!

When doing a summary of a speech, be certain that your notes are quick to write and easy to comprehend. And try to write the summary as soon after as possible, otherwise those notes are not going to make so much sense.

Make sure you look up a lot when giving a speech. It is very important to connect with the audience.

  7. Don't sweat it. I agree with Silan, just read the instructions and stick to them. There's no point overdoing things, just do what you're supposed to.

  8. Ellen's comment:

Don’t forget to actually read the instructions to every task. Just to be sure you’ve read it, read it at least two or three times and highlight the most important parts of the instructions.

Don’t forget to proof-read your text before you hand it in.

Always use a broad vocabulary and a varied language.

Always try to avoid the word “get”

  9. Always try to avoid swedish pronunciations when you're talking. You can do this by moving your tongue a bit further back. Also try to avoid "eehh", "uuh" and "like" etc. it makes you sound insecure.
